We have split Middlemarsh Street into North & South just to help us put Poundbury into numbered areas.
Middlemarsh Street was the first street to be built on Poundbury, and runs south from the Bridport Road into the heart of the First Phase, Pummery Square.
As you can see from this picture some of the houses have street parking as well as parking around the back. Here the curb is lowered so you can pull up partly onto the path, but the path is still kept clear by having wooden posts.
All houses have parking and or Garages around the back accessed from a courtyard, so keeping street parking to a minimum.
Here are some apartments on the corner or Middlemarsh Street and the Bridport Road.

A large number of the cottage style houses on Poundbury are built partly of stone.

As you can see from this picture the paths are covered in light colored fine gravel, and the roads are tarmac with a light spread of very fine black gravel.

Here are the Offices of Chaldon International on the Corner of Middlemarsh Street and Pummery Square. Your can find a link to the Company website on the Poundbury Links Page. Click HERE.

Evershot Walk is a small pedestrian walkway just of of the main Middlemarsh Street.

Springham Walk is Built in the same style as Evershot walk, but you are able to drive and park your car outside your house. But note as only three houses access this walk, no paths are provided.

Here you can see the mixture of materials used in the first batch of houses on Poundbury. Brick, Rendered and Stone, with slate and tile roofs.
Clearly shown in this picture, at the end of every street you will find a focal point. Here its an arched entrance to the back courtyard area for parking and garages.

Here Stone and Rendering are used on this cottage on the corner of Middlemarsh Street and Stowcastle Street. Also note Stone and brick garden walls.
